1. WHAT IS EJACULATION ?
According to Wikipedia, Ejaculation is that the discharge of semen which normally contains sperm from the male reproductory tract which is a result of orgasm.
It is the ultimate stage and natural objective of male sexual stimulation, and an important component of natural conception.
When an individual is sexually stimulated, friction is created on the glans. This sends signals through the nervous system which results in ejaculation.
At the instant of ejaculation, the walls of the epididymis contract (squeeze) to make peristaltic waves that push sperm into the ductus deference Ejaculation is that the expulsion of semen from the body.
PREMATURE EJACULATION or PE is when ejaculation happens sooner than a man or his partner would like to during sex.
Rapid ejaculation, premature climax, or early ejaculation are the other names for PREMATURE EJACULATION.
PE might not certainly be a cause for worry but it can be frustrating sometimes.
It is because it might make sex less enjoyable and also affect the relationship between partners.
Contacting your health provider for the same can be very helpful. In the U.S. about 1 in 3 men 18 to 59 years old have problems with premature ejaculation.
The problem is said to be psychological. Biology also plays a role here.
SO LET’S KNOW MORE ABOUT PREMATURE EJACULATION.
2. HOW DOES EJACULATION WORK?
The process of Ejaculation is controlled by the CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM. The central nervous system includes the BRAIN and SPINAL CORD.
When men are sexually stimulated, signals are sent to their spinal cord and brain.
When men reach a certain point or level of excitement, the signals are then sent from your brain to their reproductive organs.
This causes semen to be ejected from your body through the penis. This is called EJACULATION.
3. WHICH ARE THE TWO PHASES OF EJACULATION ?
–EJACULATION consists of TWO PHASES.
a) EMISSION- Emission is when the sperm moves from the testicles to the prostate and then mixes with the seminal fluid to make semen.
The vasa deferentia are tubes that help the sperm in moving from the testicles through the prostate to the base of the penis.
When you are talking about just 1 of these tubes, it is called a vas deferens.
b) EXPULSION – Expulsion is when the muscles at the base of the penis contract. This action forces semen out of the penis.
Usually, ejaculation and orgasm which is also known as CLIMAX happen at the same time. Some men climax without ejaculating.
Erections go away after this step in the majority of cases.
4. WHAT IS ERECTILE DSYFUNCTION AND HOW IS IT RELATED TO PREMATURE EJACULATION ?
Sometimes Premature Ejaculation is a problem for men who have erections problems or ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION problems.
This is a problem when men are unable to get or keep an erection firm enough for sex.
Also, an erection goes away after ejaculation hence it can be tough to know if the problem is Premature Ejaculation or ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION.
ED should always be treated first. PE may not be a problem once ED is treated.
